The Swordsman’s Lament had me captivated from the first few pages. At first it seemed as if the story was starting off on a slower note, but there’s a certain element of mystery that is introduced in the first few pages that continues throughout and kept me turning the pages. G.M. White’s story is one that is right up my alley – full of adventure, action, and twists and turns jumping out from every corner.

Belasko is an intriguing character that has you endeared from the start. He is the typical strong protagonist of many fantasy adventure stories, but is made human by his injuries that are catching up to him from his life a the king’s champion. Throughout Belasko’s tale, I never once felt bored or like I just wanted to put the book down to do something else. Instead, I was left turning the pages in a desperate attempt to figure out Belasko’s fate and to discover who really killed Prince Kellan.

If books like The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, or The Last Kingdom intrigue you, then G.M. White’s The Swordsman’s Lament is for you! About the author:

G.M. White has always been an avid reader, a love of the written word instilled in him by his parents at an early age. This may or may not have something to do with the fact that he was a very talkative child and the only time he was quiet was when he had his head in a book. Anyway, we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one. A lifelong storyteller he finally decided to put his imagination to good use and set pen to paper (well, fingers to keyboard) and started to write down the worlds that he carried with him in his head. The Swordsman’s Lament is his first novel, published September 2019.
